The District Grand Lodge of the Eastern Archipelago was represented this morning at the Remembrance Day Ceremony organised by the British High Commission at Tugu Negara, Kuala Lumpur. Right Worshipful Brother Mahathir Mahzan, District Grand Master, attended the ceremony and laid a wreath on behalf of the District. The annual commemoration, held in honour of those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the cause of peace and freedom, was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of Commonwealth nations, armed forces personnel, veterans, and members of the public.
In his act of remembrance, RWBro Mahathir paid tribute to the fallen heroes who served with courage and dedication during times of war and conflict. His participation reflected the District’s continuing commitment to the Masonic principles of brotherly love, relief, and truth — principles which uphold respect for service, duty, and sacrifice. The District Grand Lodge of the Eastern Archipelago joins all who gathered at the National Monument in reaffirming that the valour and selflessness of those who gave their lives shall never be forgotten. “At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.”
